WORKSHOP: IS IT DEAD? Reviving or Releasing an Overworked Painting

Two-Day Workshop (TAUGHT MY ME!) REGISTER HERE

Class Start Date: March 6, 2026

Class End Date: March 7, 2026

Time: Friday - Saturday 10am - 3pm

Member Fee 150.00. Non-Member Fee 200.00

Is It DEAD? Is it time to revive or lay to rest an overworked painting?

Do you have a painting that’s been facing the wall for too long? Bring it to this two-day workshop and together we will help you decide its fate. We will brainstorm methods for recovery and do some experimenting. There is no time for preciousness, only bravery and bold moves! We will try it all because what have you got to lose? If all hope is deemed lost, then we will pay our respects, write some eulogies, thank the old piece for its service and move forward with a fresh canvas that honors the old one.

For acrylic painters—works on canvas, panel, or paper

Supplies: Bring whatever you use to paint, an overworked painting and a new canvas

Spring Show, Hillary Whitaker Gallery

Hillary Whitaker Gallery is thrilled to announce the opening of its highly anticipated Spring Show on Friday, March 28th, 6-8 PM. This exciting exhibition will showcase the works of three renowned artists: Erin Gregory, Laura Lacambra Shubert and Gretchen Warsen.

The Spring Show will feature a diverse collection of paintings that explore various themes and styles. Erin Gregory offers a unique perspective on classical florals, infusing a multitude of color and layers. Laura Lacambra Shubert’s works have long been coveted by HWG collectors with themes including everyday still lives, exteriors, interiors, and even figures. Her use of light is captivating. HWG is also eager to debut artist Gretchen Warsen at their Spring Show. Gretchen’s abstractions are vibrant and playful with loose brushwork creating beautiful compositions!

Join us for an evening of art, and bold color as we celebrate the creativity and talent of these three remarkable artists.

Tiny Art Gallery Montclair, "Love Notes in Winter" Solo Show

See the tiny pieces HERE

From Francesca, the gallery owner about the show: The first time I saw Gretchen Warsen’s work at the Other Art Fair, I immediately thought of Camus’ quote: “In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.” Now, as we push through these dark winter days, Tiny Gallery is excited to present Warsen’s latest show, “Love Notes in Winter”—a vibrant, uplifting collection that radiates happiness. Each bold, colorful canvas quiets our worries and reminds us that hope is always within reach.

Tiny Gallery provides a platform for artists willing to work small. We aim to help underrepresented, emerging, mid-career, and established artists reach a wider, more diverse audience while expanding the public’s access to fine art.

We believe that everyone deserves to live with something beautiful and Tiny Gallery creates an opportunity for anyone to collect art in an unexpected and rewarding way—while removing the limitations of space and cost.
